The app supporting large classes
When dealing with large classes, the teacher faces different difficulties: If you want to use PBL or PjBL systematically, or in a set of activities, the formation of groups, which is already laborious for a single cycle, becomes difficult if you follow some logical criteria (rotation or randomness). The time factor is also, in some cases, another difficulty. Because the class hours dedicated to a class need to be divided between groups. Thus, for regulatory reasons, it is not necessarily possible to meet exclusively with one group, dispensing with the others.
When the objective is to make a mere punctual use of PBL in a traditional learning context (lectures, large groups), it commonly results in a distorted implementation of the methodology. The difficulties are several:
